Now on Spotify – A CONSTANT OF FEELINGS – Programme of audio works selected by Hanne Lippard

Every year, one artist or collective is invited to become M HKA’s Superhost. Berlin based artist Hanne Lippard launches the series with Contact Mood Share, a three-part programme focusing on language and especially the vocabulary and semiology that comes with social changes and developments.

As part of the first season ‘Contact’, Lippard has prepared a programme of audio works titled A CONSTANT OF FEELINGS, related to the notion of ‘contact’ which became an even more important word the last year, as contact all of a sudden is seen as a dangerous act. The artist states she doesn’t know how we will relate to contact once things turn normal, or rather, less pandemic.

The exhibition, and by extension the audio programme, focusses on words and the multiple meanings they can contain. The selection of audio works provides a unique listening experience of soundscapes and language-based performances by means of texts, songs and poems, giving the floor to artists, writers and musicians from different generations. The playlist is now available on Spotify and Google Podcast. Have a listen!

“Sound in particular is very fragile so that’s why it’s all about composition and accomodation. You have to practice a dynamic between all the pieces.”
